The Surface Hub has a large screen, but it's not designed with movie or TV viewing in mind. While its reds, greens, and blues are fairly close, its whites run very cool, and its cyans and magentas are skewed. Similarly, the Surface Hub fares poorly with color accuracy. The Surface Hub's black levels, which are important for any screen's ability to show shadow detail, are low at 1.58 cd/m 2. The only display this size we've seen get brighter is the Sony XBR-65X930D, which can reach an impressive 550.12 cd/m 2. The display gets very bright, producing a result of 424.38 cd/m 2 at its brightest. As an enterprise communications device and not a television, the Microsoft Surface Hub isn't designed to provide a superior picture for media consumption. To evaluate the screen on the 55-inch model, w e used a DVDO AVLab 4K test pattern generator, a Klein K-10A colorimeter, and SpectraCal's CalMAN 5 software, the same tools we use to test monitors and televisions. Microsoft offers basic installation services, and the company's US-based authorized device reseller partners, TechData, Ingram Micro, and Synnex offer comprehensive install, mounting, and integration services, which is crucial, especially for small businesses, given that the 55-inch Surface Hub weighs a considerable 105 pounds (the 84-inch Surface Hub weighs 280 pounds). If you plan to hang the Surface Hub on a wall, mounts run $329 and $599, respectively. And the 84-inch model's equivalent stand is $3,699. #Resettare tim hub pro#Our 55-inch test unit came with a rolling metal stand, which feels sturdy and smooth, and allows you to move the Surface Pro from room to room easily. #Resettare tim hub Pc#If you need more horsepower, you can connect a PC and use the Surface Hub as a giant display. Microsoft marketing director Greg Sullivan told us that the graphics processing is not intended for intense 3D gaming, but works well for video conferencing, screen sharing, and video streaming, which is what the device is intended for. Powered by fourth-generation Intel Core processors (Core i5 for the 55-inch and Core i7 for the 84-inch), the 55-inch model uses Intel HD Graphics 4600, and the 84-inch has an Nvidia Quadro K2200 graphics card. #Resettare tim hub Bluetooth#Wireless connectivity includes 802.11ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and Miracast support. Save for a single USB 3.0 port, on the right edge for easier access, all of the ports, including one USB 3.0, USB 2.0 (four in the 84-inch version, two in the 55-inch version), Ethernet 1000 Base-T, DisplayPort, a 3.5mm stereo out jack, and an RJ-11 connector, are located beneath the screen for neat cable management. Along the right edge are the Power, Brightness, Source, and Volume controls. At the left and and right edges of the screen you'll find the cameras and sensors. The Hub is built into an all-metal charcoal-gray frame that surrounds a matte screen. In the box, you'll find the Surface Hub itself, two Surface Hub pens, a power cable, a setup guide, a start guide, safety and warranty documents, and a Wireless All-in-One Keyboard. This review is based on the 55-inch model we tested onsite in the PC Labs, and on an in-depth hands-on with the 84-inch Surface Hub at Microsoft. The Surface Hub comes in two sizes and resolutions. ![]() There's no disputing that the Surface Hub is a truly impressive piece of technology, but since it's a first-generation product, there are still a few kinks to iron out. The Surface Hub represents endless collaboration possibilities, and there's currently no other single product that can manage all that it does. ![]() Businesses can use the Hub to conduct interactive brainstorm sessions with remote employees via Skype, demonstrate and make notes on large format visual data like graphs and charts, analyze 360-degree representations of images and objects (such as machine parts or organs), and project content from smaller devices onto a larger screen to share with a group. Senior Product Marketing Manager, Tim Bakke, told us that Microsoft had three focuses in mind when designing the Surface Hub: talking, drawing, and sharing content. ![]()
